2014 Governing Board Diversity Survey: Results

The 2014 GBD Survey Results were presented at the 3rd Annual Insurance Diversity Summit on December 8, 2014. The Survey Results provide an overview of the survey, as well as key findings from the over 200 company reports that were submitted.

In addition to the Survey Results, Diversity staff have developed the following Resource Documents to help stakeholders easily review and analyze the information collected from the company reports.

2014 Governing Board Diversity Survey: By Board Demographic Numbers

This Resource Document lists all companies' board demographic numbers, including the total number of board directors; number/percentage of board by gender; number/percentage of board by ethnicity; and number of disabled veterans and number of LGBT persons.

2014 Governing Board Diversity Survey: By Efforts to Diversify

This Resource Document lists all companies' responses to Questions 5-7 of the Survey, which asked companies about their outreach efforts and strategies to diversify their board leadership.

2014 Governing Board Diversity Survey: By Group Premium

This Resource Documents lists all companies by most California premiums collected in 2013. All companies that collected $100 Million or more in California premiums in 2013 met the threshold to submit the 2014 Governing Board Diversity Survey.
