Long-Term Care Outline (in PDF format)
For California non-resident Accident and Health Agents who sell long term care (LTC) California Insurance Code section 10234.93 (4)(C) states, in part, that California non-resident licensees that are not otherwise subject to California Insurance section 1749.3 are required to complete training filed and approved by the commissioner as provided in subdivision (o) of California Insurance Code section 1749.4. The Mandatory Eight-Hour Long Term Care Outline noted below lists the topics that must be addressed as part of all eight-hour long term care insurance courses.
2025 Life Insurance Policies Four-Hour Course
California Insurance Code section 1749.81(a) requires life agents, licensed on or after January 1, 2024, who engage in the sale of specified life insurance policies on or after January 1, 2025, to complete a four hour life insurance training course before soliciting consumers to sell these life insurance policies (California resident or non-resident). This requirement shall be part of, and not in addition to, the California resident licensee's continuing education requirement.

2025 Variable Life Insurance Policies Two-Hour Course
California Insurance Code section 1749.81(b) requires life agents who sell variable life insurance policies to complete two hours of topic specific training before each license renewal. This section applies to licenses that are issued or renewed on or after January 1, 2025 (California resident or non-resident). This requirement shall be part of, and not in addition to, the California resident licensee's continuing education requirement.

2025 Annuity Training Outline
For California non-resident Life-Only agents who sell annuities, California Insurance Code section 1749.8 (a) and (b) state, in part, that every Life-Only agent (California resident or non-resident) who sells or solicits annuity products are required to complete training filed and approved by the commissioner as provided in subdivision (o) of California Insurance Code section 1749.4.

Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster Regulations - Claims Adjuster and Medical Bill Reviewer Training Requirements
On or before July 1, all insurers are to certify annually to the Commissioner that they have met the minimum standards of training and/or experience stated in the Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster Regulations for all claims adjusters and medical bill reviewers.
