Advisory: Commissioner tours Mendocino Complex burn area and meets with survivors
CDI consumer services team on hand at local assistance center to help wildfire survivors
LUCERNE, Calif. — Commissioner Jones will visit the wildfire areas affected by the Mendocino Complex Fire and meet with fire survivors and insurers working to expedite claims at the Local Assistance Center where he has deployed the department's consumer services experts to assist survivors.
Jones declared an emergency situation, which allows insurers to use qualified out-of-state adjusters who work under the insurance company's California license. Jones also issued two notices to speed recovery efforts including one to expedite claims and a second to instruct insurers to make sure claims adjusters are properly trained on California law. Jones is available for interviews during his visit.
