Appendix A - Personal Computer Online Payments

You may use a personal computer, terminal, or mainframe computer to report your ACH Debit payments. If you have any questions about these payment methods, please contact the California Department of Insurance's Tax Accounting/EFT Desk at (916) 492-3288, or email at eft@insurance.ca.gov.
 

The following is a sample script of an ACH Debit Online Payments reported to the State's data collection service using your personal computer:

STEP 1 Log on - website address: www.govone.com/PAYCAL
STEP 2 "California State Agency EFT Menu" screen

Select the "California Department of Insurance" link to access a payment site.

STEP 3
"Sign in" screen
 
     - First Time User
  • Click the "Register" button.
  • Enter your EFT Taxpayer ID Number (TIN). (8 digits)
  • Enter your Security Code (4 digits)
  • Click the "Continue" button.
     - Returning User
  • Enter your Username
  • Enter your Password
  • Click the "Login" button
STEP 4 "Select Payment Type" screen
  • Select the appropriate payment type code
STEP 5 "Make a Payment" screen
  • Enter the tax due date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Enter your tax amount (dollars and cents)
  • Enter the date you would like your bank account debited (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Click the "Continue" button to proceed to the Step 6
** If you had selected the incorrect tax type code, click the "Cancel" button to go back to the Step 4.
STEP 6 Under the "Payment Verification" screen, verify if the information entered is correct prior to submitting the payment.
