ADVISORY - Insurance Commissioner to tour Paradise burn zone and meet survivors

CHICO, Calif. — Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones is visiting the sight of the state’s worst wildfire disaster Monday, November 19, 2018 and meeting with Camp Fire survivors to make sure they are getting the assistance they need from their insurers and share actions he has taken to provide them additional protection. Jones will also tour the Disaster Recovery Center, meet with local officials and join the Contractors State License Board and Butte County law enforcement officials to announce enforcement efforts against scammers who prey on vulnerable disaster survivors.

Commissioner Jones issued a notice to insurers to expedite claims as a result of the Camp Fire.
