Insurance Company Profiles

Insurance Company Profiles

If you know the insurance company you are looking for, you can search by using a partial or full company name to get an insurance company's profile.

From there you will be able to access information about a company's location, former names of the company, agent for service of process, reference information (license status, company type, state of domicile), lines of insurance the company is authorized to transact, and complaint history.

Search for Companies and Other Entities by Line of Insurance

We also provide a method to search for company profiles by what kind of insurance they are able to sell in California. For example, you can search just for companies that offer private passenger automobile insurance or just homeowners insurance. Other insurance related entities include Motor Clubs, Home Protection Companies, Title Companies, etc.

Companies in Receivership

Information regarding companies in receivership may be accessed from the Global Receivership Information Database (GRID) Reports maintained by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). The GRID database maintains receivership information from all U.S. jurisdictions. If the receivership involves a California company, additional information may be obtained from the Conservation and Liquidation Office's website.
