Resiliency is an effort to use the natural environment to reduce the risks of climate change related to catastrophic events and to identify financial mechanisms, including insurance, to protect the natural infrastructure and reduce exposure for the public. The California Department of Insurance is actively involved in various projects that feature resiliency as part of an over-all mitigation strategy to the impacts of climate change on California.
