Advisory - Commissioner Jones discusses disaster recovery and fire risk at joint hearing

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones is testifying before the Joint Legislative Committee on Emergency Management and Senate Committee on Insurance at a joint hearing on "Drought, Climate Change and Fire: How is the California Homeowners' Insurance Market Responding?" Commissioner Jones will discuss his actions to assist survivors of the most recent California wildfires and what needs to be done to protect future survivors. He will also address how changes in wildfire underwriting in the homeowners' insurance marketplace are creating new challenges for consumers.
