The California Department of Insurance (CDI) offers Education Providers an online program for both submitting provider rosters and class presentation schedules. By accessing a secure Web site, a provider can enter a provider roster or a class presentation schedule, this saves time for both the provider and the agent. Once the provider roster, class presentation schedule, or text data roster updates are submitted to the CDI, the information will be available to viewers within 24 hours on our website.
The Online Roster service assists Education Providers in reporting their provider rosters for continuing education courses. Upon submission, the provider roster information is validated and the provider is notified immediately if the information has been accepted or if there was an error in the validation. If the provider roster fails to validate, an error message will indicate the reason.
Rosters must be submitted within 30 days of the course completion date; rosters with a completion date more than 30 days from the current date will not be accepted.
The Online Class Presentation service offers Education Providers an expedient method of notifying the CDI of their intent to offer a class. Upon submission, the class presentation information is validated and the provider is notified immediately if the information has been accepted or if there was an error in the validation. If the class schedule fails to validate, an error message will indicate the reason. The class presentation schedule must be submitted to the CDI at least 10 days prior to the scheduled date of the course offering.
The Online Class Presentation service also allows the provider to make changes to the class schedules currently on file within set parameters. For instance, providers will have the ability to cancel existing scheduled course dates or to change the location of the course. The class schedule will be available for viewing on our website Education Provider and Course Search within 24 hours.
A search feature will allow providers to search for class presentation schedules or provider rosters previously submitted (for example, a provider might want a list of the rosters submitted on a particular date or to verify a class presentation schedule has been entered or cancelled). For added security, providers can also change their User ID and Password as needed.
