AGENTS & BROKERS: License Status Inquiry Help
Frequently Asked Questions
Common Name Search Problems - When I hit the submit button it is very slow.
Narrow the search criteria by entering all or part of the first name.  When searching for common surnames (i.e., "Jones", "Smith" ) also enter as much of the first name as possible.(i.e., "smith robert")

How can I find a name when I am not sure of the spelling?
Enter an underscore ( _ ) in place of any characters to be used as "wild cards" (i.e., smith r_b"). Wild cards cannot be used in the first two positions.

I get the error "License Number not found." and I know it is a valid License Number. Why?
Be sure that you are entering a zero "0" and not an alpha "O". License numbers never begin with an alpha character.

After I search for one agent all subsequent searches bring back the same record. Why?
This is caused by your browser's cache setting not checking the server for every page. Please set your cache to check the server every time you access a page. For instructions on configuring the cache, please check your browser's help. Caching servers and proxy servers may also cause problems. If you change your cache setting and you are still having the same problem, check with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network administrator.

What is JavaScript?
JavaScript is a programming language used in web pages to extend the capabilities of HTML (hypertext markup language). It allows for "smart" web pages that can interact with its environment. JavaScript statements embedded in HTML documents can recognize events such as mouse clicks, form input and page navigation. JavaScript is not "Java".

Why does it keep asking the same question over and over again? I selected the "Submit" button and I can't get any further.
The browser that you are using does not support "JavaScript". Install an internet browser that supports JavaScript or make sure that scripting is enabled on your browser.

Additional technical questions can be asked via e-mail to our Webmaster.
