will be unavailable beginning August 8, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time
through August 18, 2019.

Enhanced online licensing services will be provided by
Sircon, powered by Vertafore,
and available starting Monday, August 19, 2019

Notes:

  • For information: Read CDI’s transition to the enhanced online licensing services under notices.
  • New licenses numbering: Licenses issued through Sircon’s online enhanced services will issue an eight-digit numeric license starting with the number 4 for individuals (example, 40000001). License numbers for existing California licensees will remain unchanged (example, 0A12345) and additional licenses added to an existing license will retain the same number.
  • Paper Individual License Application: At this time, you may submit a paper individual license application using the following Individual Application for Insurance License, Form 441-9.
  • Effective Monday, August 19, 2019, you will be required to submit your individual license applications electronically through Sircon Online Services or through the National Insurance Producer Registry. Specifically, California Insurance Code Section 1655, states, in part, that no application for a license shall be deemed filed unless the document has been submitted by a means of electronic service approved by the commissioner.

However, for good cause shown, an individual may request an exemption to the electronic filing requirements. Requests may be made by email to the Producer Licensing Processing Section at LicDocuments@insurance.ca.gov These requests must be made prior to the filing of an individual license application.
