Locate a Residential Insurance Policy Post Declared Disaster

If you are a property owner, or the owner's legal representative, and your property is located in an area designated as a disaster by the President of the United States or the Governor, and you cannot locate the insurance policy for the property and are unable to recall the name of the insurance company, we can provide assistance. If you use our Residential Insurance Policy Locator (RIPL) below, we will forward your information to the insurance companies licensed in California who will search their records to determine if the property was insured.  The company will contact you directly only if they locate a policy that was in force at the time of disaster and they have reason to believe that you are the owner or the owner's legal representative. This service is free of charge.
