The Policy Approval Bureau (PAB) performs most of the legal functions involving life, disability (accident and health), and workers' compensation insurance products. PAB reviews policy forms of those lines of insurance when provided by law. PAB also handles initial and amended Variable  Product Qualifications. PAB advises the public, other government and CDI personnel and legislators on statutes and regulations pertaining to life, disability and workers' compensation insurance.  PAB also develops and administers CDI regulations and bulletins on life and disability insurance product design, advertising and administration.
