About Us: Fraud Liaison Bureau
The Fraud Liaison Bureau (FLB) provides legal support to the Fraud Division (FD), a division of the Department's Enforcement Branch. FLB support is provided to the FD management and includes oversight of FD's various anti-fraud programs. These programs include auto fraud, workers compensation fraud, medical fraud, general insurance fraud, and whistleblower (qui tam) legal actions in the state. FLB support includes the review and drafting of proposed legislation, the promulgation of regulations, representation of the commissioner in qui tam lawsuits, and providing legal advice to senior management arising from the implementation of the various program objectives and services.
