Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones announces guilty plea of San Luis Bail Bonds Company owner

On February 2, 2012 Todd Dolezal, 47, owner of San Luis Bail Bonds, pled guilty to one misdemeanor count of unlawful solicitation of an arrestee in jail in violation of the California Insurance Code pursuant to the California Code of Regulations section 2079.1. Dolezal was placed on one year of probation and fined $1,000.00.

Initially, Dolezal and two employees were arrested on more than seven felony counts of conspiracy, unlawful solicitation and failure to keep records of their bail activities. Charges were later dismissed against the two employees.

The San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office prosecuted the case.
