Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones praises Michael Nolan for his long-standing commitment to workers' compensation issues
Nolan to retire from California Workers' Compensation Institute on May 1

SACRAMENTO - Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones today praised the work of Michael Nolan, President of the California Workers' Compensation Institute (CWCI), a position held by Nolan since June, 2001.

"I would like to recognize and thank Michael for his dedication to the California Workers' Compensation Institute over the past twelve years," said Commissioner Jones. "In his role as President, Michael served on a number of committees and has worked together in partnership with the department in our combined efforts to protect California's work force."

Michael's career in the insurance industry has spanned the last four decades. He has worked alongside such notable groups as the California Division of Workers' Compensation, the California Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau and the RAND Corporation. He has also testified before the Legislature on workers' compensation issues including the 2012 reforms to workers' compensation brought about by SB 863.

"I wish Michael all the best in his future endeavors," Jones added.
