News: 2014 Press Release
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones issued the following statement on the death of Robert Morales, Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Joint Council 7 and Teamsters Local 350:
"Bob was a tremendous leader who devoted his life to advocating for working men and women. As the long time Secretary Treasurer of Teamsters Local 350 and Teamsters Joint Council 7, he was a nationally recognized labor leader. He served his country as a young man in the United States Army. He was active in the leadership of a number of community organizations throughout his life. His life was a reminder of the importance of service and that through organizing and strength of community any challenge can be overcome.
I was honored to be able to rely on Bob for advice and counsel on matters related to the conditions and circumstances of working men and women and the labor movement.
While he will be greatly missed, he leaves behind a tremendous legacy of having improved the lives and circumstances of countless numbers of working men and women for whom he advocated."
