Fresno agent arrested for collecting commissions

FRESNO - Korey Jenkins, 37, surrendered to the Fresno County Jail on Monday April 1, 2013. The Fresno County District Attorney's office has filed one felony count of grand theft and one felony count of forgery against Jenkins. Bail was set at $17,000. Jenkins arraignment is April 30, 2013 at the Fresno County Superior Court.

In May of 2012, following information received from an insurance company, California Department of Insurance investigators found Jenkins allegedly submitted 103 fraudulent insurance applications with forged signatures of 37 individuals between August and September of 2011. Jenkins received $12,024 in illegally obtained commissions as a result of her scheme.

This case was investigated by the CDI Investigation Division, Criminal Operations - Point of Sale [C.O.P.S.] Unit.
