Illegal auto policy moratoriums in southland wildfire areas lead regulator to take action
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Some insurers refusing to write or make changes to private passenger auto policies leads Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones to issue a legal notice to insurers and a consumer warning to Southland residents in areas where fires are burning and new fires are a risk. Jones will discuss the issues, his actions to protect consumers and additional action taken to help speed help to Southland fire victims.
