Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones issues statement on shooting of San Diego Police officers
News: 2016 Press Release
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — “Last night two of San Diego’s finest were gunned down in the line of duty, while protecting the San Diego community. Sixteen-year veteran officer Jonathan DeGuzman lost his life and nine-year veteran Wade Irwin is fighting for his. Our thoughts and prayers are with the officers, their families, and the entire San Diego Police Department, as they grieve the tragic loss of DeGuzman and work helping Irwin through his recovery. Every day thousands of law enforcement officers across California and the nation risk their lives to protect us from crime and harm, including here at the Department of Insurance. We owe them our respect and appreciation.”
Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones
