(*) All Filing Fees are Non-refundable. Section 1751.5 of the California Insurance Code states, in part, that the filing fees shall not be refunded, whether or not the application is acted upon or the examination taken.
(**)  Bail Renewals: Bail Agents & Bail Solicitors pay $72 per company and/or employer. Late Renewals: Bail licensees pay a 100 percent penalty fee for a late renewal after June 30th. After June 30th, Bail Agents and Solicitors must reapply and pay a license fee of $482. In addition, after June 30th, Bail Permittees must reapply and pay a license fee of $962.

(***) Surplus Line Broker (SL) and Special Lines Surplus Line Broker (SP): For individual license filings, the fee is $1000 (two year) for those who are going to transact as an individual with a $50,000 bond.  For individual license filings, the fee is $1000 (two year) for those who are going to transact as an individual with a $50,000 bond and may also be transacting on behalf of a surplus line broker organization.  For individual license filings, the fee is $500 (two year) for those who are transacting only on behalf of a surplus line broker organization.

NONRESIDENT INFORMATION:

Nonresident fees are retaliatory with the the home state fees. The CDI requires a non-resident applicant to pay the licensing fee that is either equal to or higher than the fees as listed above. Go to this link for more information on nonresident fees:
